The South African Praying Mantis is thought to have entered New Zealand at around 1978, it is now well established throughout the North Island and is estimated to be well on its way to covering the South Island.
A prolific breeder and a highly skilled predator, it appears to be gradually taking over from the smaller native New Zealand mantis.

Each Mantis has its own wooden box. They are packed securely in wood wool to minimize any movement in transit.
The box has various stamps on it with the studio name, edition number and name of the bronze inside and my signature verifying its authenticity.
The Mantis has a ticket attached giving its name, its edition number and the year in which it was created.

Current Mantis production as at:
30 September 2017.
